About Our Manufacturing Process

At Yoyi Supply, we supply padlocks, self-storage cylinder locks, latches and lock hardware accessories for commercial buyers. We understand that successful sourcing depends on more than the finished product—it requires clear specifications, practical production planning and reliable communication.
Our process connects your purchasing requirements with production, inspection and shipping arrangements. From the initial enquiry to dispatch, we work closely with your team to keep the agreed details at the centre of every stage.

1. Understanding Your Product and Purchasing Requirements

Every enquiry begins with understanding what you need, how the product will be used and when it must arrive. Reference samples, technical drawings, photographs and existing product specifications help us clarify your requirements before preparing a quotation.
Depending on the product, we review:
  • Product style and application: Padlock type, self-storage cylinder lock design, latch configuration or accessory requirements.
  • Dimensions and compatibility: Lock body dimensions, shackle diameter and clearance, cylinder fit, mounting-hole spacing and relevant tolerances.
  • Component materials: Requirements for the lock body, shackle, cylinder, keys, latch plates, fasteners and other parts.
  • Surface finish: Plating, polishing, coating, colour and appearance expectations.
  • Locking and keying requirements: Combination or keyed operation, keyed-alike or keyed-different arrangements, and the number of keys required.
  • Order quantity: Quantities by model, size, colour and packaging configuration.
  • Delivery requirements: Requested dispatch or arrival dates, destination and shipping preferences.
If any details are unclear, we work with you to resolve them early. This helps reduce specification changes, compatibility issues and avoidable delays later in the order.

2. Preparing a Clear and Practical Quotation

Once the requirements are understood, we prepare a quotation based on the agreed product specifications, quantities and service requirements.
Our aim is to offer a commercially practical proposal that balances product requirements, cost and delivery expectations. Where appropriate, we can discuss alternative materials, finishes or packaging configurations for your evaluation. Any proposed change is subject to your approval.
The quotation outlines the applicable product pricing, packaging basis, estimated lead time, payment terms and delivery terms. Tooling, sample or additional service charges, where applicable, are identified so your purchasing team can evaluate the total scope clearly.

3. Confirming the Order Details

Before production is scheduled, we review the order requirements with your team and record the agreed details.
This confirmation covers the selected products, quantities, technical specifications, pricing, payment arrangements and delivery schedule. We also clarify requirements that can affect production or shipment, including:
  • Branding and trademark authorisation: Approved logo artwork, marking positions and the necessary authorisation for customer-owned trademarks.
  • Packaging: Individual packs, labels, barcodes, instruction sheets, carton quantities and shipping marks.
  • Samples and artwork: Any required sample approval, packaging proof or reference sample.
  • Factory audits: Whether a factory assessment or buyer-appointed audit is required, including its scope and timing.
  • Inspection arrangements: Inspection criteria, required records and any customer or third-party inspection.
  • Shipping documentation: Documents and consignee details required for the agreed shipment.
Clear order confirmation gives both teams a shared reference for production and acceptance.

4. Translating Specifications into Production Instructions

After order confirmation and completion of the agreed pre-production requirements, we coordinate the production schedule.
Product and packaging requirements are broken down into actionable instructions for material preparation, component processing, assembly, finishing and packing. Relevant drawings, approved samples and artwork are used as references where applicable.
For orders containing several models or variants, we pay particular attention to differences such as shackle length, cylinder configuration, keying groups, finish colour and pack quantity. Keeping these distinctions clear helps prevent mix-ups during manufacturing and packing.

5. Material Preparation and Production Follow-Up

Materials and components are prepared against the confirmed order requirements. Depending on the product, production may involve metal forming or machining, surface treatment, lock assembly, key or combination configuration, and packaging preparation.
During production, we follow up on progress against the agreed schedule and coordinate questions that require clarification. If an issue may affect the specification or delivery plan, we communicate it to you and discuss the next steps.
Changes to materials, finishes, branding or other confirmed requirements are not treated as routine substitutions—they require review and agreement.

6. Inspection Against the Agreed Requirements

Inspection focuses on whether the products match the confirmed specifications and approved references. The inspection scope is agreed according to the product and order requirements.
Checks may include:
  • Appearance, finish and colour consistency.
  • Relevant dimensions and component fit.
  • Locking, unlocking and key or combination operation.
  • Key quantities and keyed-alike grouping, where applicable.
  • Latch movement, mounting dimensions and supplied accessories.
  • Product quantities, packaging, labels and carton markings.
Where requested and agreed, we coordinate customer-appointed or third-party inspections before shipment. Specific performance tests, acceptance criteria and reporting requirements should be established during order confirmation.

7. Shipping Documents, Booking and Dispatch

As the order approaches completion, we coordinate packing information, shipping documents and transport arrangements according to the agreed delivery terms.
Documentation may include the commercial invoice, packing list and other documents required for the particular shipment. We confirm shipping marks, consignee information and relevant shipment details with your team.
Where freight booking is within our agreed scope, we coordinate with the designated forwarder or arrange booking as agreed. Dispatch is scheduled around production readiness, inspection requirements, payment conditions and available transport arrangements.
